Testimonials

“İslami geometri alanında geleneksel yöntemi her ayrıntısıyla öğreten bir eğitim seti, ben tezhip sanatçısıyım ve eserlerime uyguladığım geometrik desenlerin altyapısını bilerek tasarım ve uygulama yapmamda çok yardımcı oldu. İstifade ettim, Hocama teşekkür ederim.”

“Naile Hajjar has always stood out as one of my exceptional students. As a mathematician, her inquiries diverged from those of her peers. She was driven by a profound curiosity to grasp the intricate nuances of Islamic Geometric Patterns. Furthermore, Naile took it upon herself to share her expertise and insights with others through the creation of a remarkable platform. Her presentation for the Ejaza was notably distinguished and remarkable. The website also unequivocally showcases Naile's distinction as an artist. She possesses all the capabilities to conduct successful teaching courses. I extend my best wishes to her in her mission.”

“دورة تعليمية تشمل جميع خطوات الطريقة التقليدية في رسم الزخارف الهندسية الإسلامية، من خلال أخذ جميع النظم في الاعتبار لتطوير قدرة الرسم والتحكم في الزخارف و تعطي القدرة لإجراء تحليل رياضي لتلك الزخارف ايضا. وبما أنني فنانة في التذهيب لذلك أستفيد من هذه التصاميم بشكل كبير”

You will also learn the following:

In addition, in this course

  • Traditional Method

You will learn the traditional and inherited techniques handed down by successive generations of craftsmen, by drawing the patterns by hand. With just compass and ruler.

  • Develop your skill

The course will cover developing the skill of reading the patterns and drawings. This vital skill will help students to decipher and analyse patterns.

  • Different patterns

The course will cover wide selection of fourfold, fivefold and six fold patterns found across the Islamic world.

  • Downloadable PDF files

In each lesson, students will be able to download PDF files covering the topics discussed in that session. This will provide the participants with a permanent reference for their work.

“This course gave me great experience. I need a lot of time to draw patterns and understand why do I do this way. But every moment I am full of fun. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“This was a very informative and interesting course that introduced me to the underlying mathematical basis behind Islamic geometrical patterns. I've particularly enjoyed observing the layers of patterns that can occur while drawing a tessellation of a pattern. Although given the time it takes to draw the larger patterns, by the end of the course I have not completed all the home work. However with the availability of the pdf files I can continue drawing and observing the process of pattern construction as taught. Also being on the other side of the world, I've found the recordings of the Zoom classes very helpful for when I was not able to participate live. Very many thanks to you Mohamad Aljanabi for your patience and generosity in making and teaching this excellent course. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity. Thank you. There is meant to be five solid stars below except they twinkle when the arrow goes over them except the first star. Take care and have a happy new year.”
